Katherine Knutson, MD, MPH

Katherine Hobbs, MD, MPH, serves as CEO of Author Health, offering psychiatric treatment for serious mental illness and substance use disorders. As an Adult and Child Psychiatrist and adjunct Assistant Professor at the Duke University School of Medicine, she is committed to improving access and quality of health care, especially for people who are underserved by the current system. Dr. Hobbs previously served as Chief of Behavioral Health at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Chief Medical Officer for Alliance Health, Director of Community Psychiatry at the Children’s National Health System, and Associate Medical Director for Psychiatry for the Massachusetts Medicaid program. Dr. Hobbs also serves on the Board of Directors and clinical advisory committees for early-stage health care companies. She received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and her master’s degree from the Harvard School of Public Health.
