Marc A. Nivet, EdD, MBA

Marc A. Nivet, EdD, MBA,is the Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement at The Universityof Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also serves as Professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and conducts research on the demographic and distribution of the physician workforce. He previously served on the executive leadership team of the Association of American Medical Colleges, where he provided leadership on issues surrounding community engagement, diversity, and health equity at medical schools and teaching hospitals. Dr. Nivet has spent more than 25 years in academic medicine developing program initiatives and innovative approaches to advance the mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care. He earned his doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his master’s degree from George Washington University’s School of Business. He is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and a former President of the National Association
