Dr. Diptiman Bose serves as Professor of Pharmacology at Alice L. Walton School of Medicine. In this role, he designs and develops the School’s pharmacology curriculum.

Prior to joining the School, Dr. Bose was Associate Professor of Pharmacology and Director of Pharmacology Distance Learning Pathway in the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Western New England University in Springfield, Massachusetts. At University of California, Davis, he served as an Assistant Project Scientist in the Department of Molecular Biosciences. In Massachusetts, he worked as a Clinical Pharmacist at Cooley Dickinson Hospital and Holyoke Medical Center.

Dr. Bose received his bachelor’s in pharmacy from University of Mumbai before earning his master’s and PhD in pharmacology at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Most recently, he received his master’s in education from Georgia Southern University and completed his post-doctoral research at the University of California, Davis.

Dr. Bose serves on the Executive Committee of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, Division for Pharmacology Education (ASPET, DPE). In 2023, he was elected as incoming Secretary and Treasurer for ASPET, DPE and was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Pharmacology Educators. He has served as a member and Chair of several committees for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, including the Teaching and Innovation Subcommittee.
